Tasting Notes

 

Cape Mentelle Vineyards is a leading wine producer in Western Australia's Margaret River region. It is particularly known for its single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. This helped put Margaret River on the map after winning a range of important wine awards in the early 1980s.

The estate was founded by David, Mark and Giles Hohnen in 1970 and is one of the oldest wineries in the region. Many of the estate's wines come from original plantings, including the estate's flagship Cabernet Sauvignon. Today it is owned by luxury goods company LVMH.
